I don’t mind at all! ouo
The only Ampora/Captor I actively ship is Eridan and Sollux. So I don’t even ship Dualscar and Ψiioniic. As for those two, I dunno. I saw a comic going around that had them as best friends before Mituna sacrificed himself, and it was actually really effing sad.
Besides, I’ve always thought Hope and Doom players were destined to be intertwined somehow, kinda like a red string of fate thing.
In fact, I have my own theory about that.
Cronus used to love magic and believed whole-heartedly in it. So much so, that he was going to defeat an evil wizard that had it out for him, which is how he got his scars.
Mituna was a powerful..I can’t remember what his class was, but his aspect was Doom. So he saw prophecies of what was to come, much like Sollux heard the voices of the dead. He was once a powerful psionic, maybe even moreso than the Helmsman and Sollux, but spent all of his energy preventing SOMETHING from getting into their timeline and rendering it as a doomed timeline. And Kurloz was present when it happened. Kurloz is a confirmed consort of Lord English.
NOW.
It’s POSSIBLE. That Mituna knew that Lord English was coming. But remember how earlier, we were told that LE wasn’t in the Beforus session, or even in their universe? And that they had to strike the bargain with Doc Scratch’s boss to scratch the session? Well. By scratching it, they invited LE into their timeline. THAT was supposed to happen. He was supposed to be in Alternia’s universe, NOT Beforus’, or it would’ve made their timeline a doomed one.
So with that in mind. Mituna realized through his prophecies that LE was NOT supposed to be in their timeline. So he used all of his psionics to prevent it. And thus gave himself brain damage.
Now how’s that tie in with Cronus? Well, remember that evil wizard? Eridan was allegedly part of a cult that knew of the SGRUB game before they played it, or at least about what it would do, so perhaps Cronus somehow knew about Lord English? I dunno how he came about the information, or how much he had—I assume it wasn’t much at all, but it was SOMETHING. Enough to know he had to defeat him.
Remember, Calliope used a wand, so LE HAS the ability to use a wand, but we don’t know if he can.
That was apparently Cronus’ destiny. Defeat the evil wizard. But he failed because he stopped believing in magic. Likely because Kankri and his self-righteous self talked Cronus out of it, and I assume pressure from his peers also played a part. Cause the Amporas are tricky characters when it comes to what’s right and what’s popular—Eridan is, by all rights, an exemplary troll, but times were changing around him and though he was doing what was culturally right for attention and credit, what he was doing was quickly waning in popularity. ANYWAY.
SO. Since Cronus failed, that destiny was passed down to Eridan, the next Ampora in line to play the game. And also a Hope player. But Eridan was killed by Kanaya, so now the task lies on Jake’s shoulders, the last player with the aspect of Hope.
So I’m assuming only Hope players have the power to kill Lord English, but if you notice, Bard and Prince were both classes that used their aspect to destroy in some way shape or form. Jake’s class is active and powerful, so he still probably has a good chance. But I’m of the opinion that it’ll take an Ampora.
ANYWAY SO IN SHORT MITUNA INADVERTENTLY SAVED CRONUS’ LIFE AND CRONUS WAS MEANT TO KILL LORD ENGLISH SOMEHOW, BUT KANKRI IS A DICKFACE AND KANAYA KILLED ERIDAN. SO. |
